Fernando Pereira Gomes (b. 1993, São Paulo) is a photographer living and working in New York. Since earning his degree from the School of Visual Arts (2015), Fernando has exhibited at the Noordelicht Photofestival, Miami-Project, and Photo-LA. In 2014, his images taken in the virtual streets of Grand Theft Auto V were featured internationally, both, in print and online, resulting in a solo exhibition at Ateliê Alê Gallery in São Paulo. Fernando continues producing work that combines his roots in traditional street-photography with his developing interest in how technological forces are shaping new understandings of collective experience and social control.
Recently, Fernando's photographs from his cross-country train journey were featured on Time Magazine's Lightbox.
